Description Technical Specs

QB78-type air rifles are now branded as Beeman. The product is the same, only the name and the box has changed. QB78 air rifles are still arriving from the US distributor with Industry Brand-branding and this will change to Beeman-branded product on stock rotation.

From the beginning, Archer Airguns sold airgun parts.

With time, we have expanded our range of airgun kits for different brands and models. Now Archer Airguns has evolved to become the premier Internet source for airgun parts. Specifically we concentrate on parts for current and relatively-recent airguns. You’ll see many parts kits for new airgun brands and models introduced in future.

This means that Archer Airguns no longer sells airguns. If you’re looking for QB78-type air rifles, we recommend that you contact Pyramyd Air. Here are some useful direct links to the individual models:

Beeman QB78 Deluxe CO2 Air Rifle 0.22

Beeman QB78S CO2 Air Rifle 0.22

Beeman AR2078 CO2 Thumbhole Target Rifle 0.177

Beeman AR2078A CO2 Target Rifle 0.177

If you are looking for an Archer Airguns QB78 Repeater or QB79 Repeater, the spiritual successor to these products is the Umarex Gauntlet. This PCP air rifle can also be powered by CO2 if required and offers the benefits of the original Archer Repeater with a much increased power level.

Again, the Umarex Gauntlet can be found at Pyramyd Air:

Umarex Gauntlet PCP Air Rifle, Synthetic Stock 0.177

If you want airgun parts, however, you are at the right place! Check out our store for QB78 parts, Crosman, Benjamin parts and more…

This is a variant of the QB78 designed for use with a paintball tank to supply the CO2.

But wait, there's more! The QB79 is a very versatile air rifle that can be used with Powerlets, 88 gram AirSource tanks and even 12 gram Powerlets through the use of adapters. The basic rifle is sold without a CO2 source, but can be used with a paintball tank up to 2-inches diameter - but see note below - using Crosman Air Source 88g cartridges with an adapter, or even 12 Gram Powerlets - again with an adapter (all adapters are available on this site).

You can see the variety of CO2 sources that the QB79 can use in the photograph above. There's more detail and photos in this post in the Archer Airguns blog on the QB79.

Uses a
heavier barrel than the QB78 and has a shorter fore end to the stock, but otherwise very similar.

The average number of “good” shots with different types of tank are:

88g AirSource tank (adapter required) about 220 (single use)
3.5-ounce paintball tank about 240 (re-fillable)
9-ounce paintball tank about 630 (re-fillable)

PLEASE READ.
The QB79 works with paintball tanks having a maximum outside diameter of 2.000 inches. Recent 9-oz and 3.5-oz tanks are normally 2-inches in nominal diameter, but can actually be larger in actual diameter - particularly if they are of alloy construction. If the tank is larger than 2.000 inches in outside diameter, it may not fit the gun unless the Archer Airguns QB79 Tank Adapter is used (see QB79 Parts page for details).
